Drury Inn and Suites St Louis Union Station

I almost never write reviews of hotels, but the location of this hotel is so amazing. We stayed with two middle elementary age kids, and the hotel location truly made our trip so much better than it would have been. When you walk out each morning, the Ferris wheel is directly in front of you, and there are ice cream and food option within a few hundred yards, inside Union Station. You can watch the water and fire “show” (bit of an overstatement) and walk back to the hotel in just a few minutes. We could see the build a bear headquarters from our room, just across the parking lot. And the included breakfast and dinner every day also made our stay so much easier with kids. If we go back to St. Louis any time soon, we will definitely stay here again.

We were basically stuck in St. Louis due to a missed bus connection while on vacation. Looking for a place to stay for the night. We arrived at the hotel and were going to ask if they could hold our luggage until check in time so we could go find something to eat. They allowed us to check in early with no additional fee. Things just got better and better from there. We were told that there was a 5:30 happy hour in the lobby with drinks and tacos so we didn't have find a place to eat. They also had a hot tub which was a surprise. The breakfast the next day was fabulous..

The location was absolutely fantastic, especially for anyone wanting to experience everything Union Station has to offer. The staff was exceptional! We arrived by train, and they kindly held our luggage for us until check-in, which was an impressive seven hours later. They even let us enjoy breakfast before we officially checked in. When one of the girls had an outfit malfunction, they provided mini sewing kits, showcasing their thoughtfulness and willingness to help. Breakfast was delightful, and the 5:30 kickback was a highlight, offering all adults three complimentary drinks and free food and snacks for everyone! After check-out, they graciously kept our bags again until it was time to catch our train, which was another seven hours later. We will certainly return to this location! I would highly recommend it—definitely a 10/10 experience!

Very comfortable bed. Efficient A/C. Shower had very good pressure and temperature. The free (included) drinks and food in the evening (5:30pm - 7:00pm) was a nice added bonus. Unsurprisingly I suppose, it was very busy at the start although cleared out later. All of the staff were friendly and efficient. The attached parking garage is very convenient although it would have been helpful if it had been made clear on the hotel information that check-in was required before using the garage as a room key is required for access. The $20/night parking fee seemed reasonable given what other hotels in St Louis were charging but that's probably comes from the fact that this hotel is a little further from the riverfront and arch. The Union Station complex across the road from the hotel has a handful of restaurants which is helpful. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk from the Gateway Arch and the route seemed safe to me.

The staff members with whom I interacted were friendly and helpful. They offered both a free breakfast as well as some food during the dinner hours, which would be helpful for anyone traveling on a budget or with limited time. The room itself was also quite nice, well made up and clean.
